Georgia Cares is the single, statewide coordinating agency connecting services and treatment care for victms of child sex trafficking. Established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 2013, Georgia Cares serves youth up to age 18 in the state of Georgia who have been sexually exploited or trafficked. We believe that youth who have been trafficked can be restored to safety, health, and well-being when they are recognized as victims of sexual abuse and supported with appropriate treatment.
We are seeking caring, passionate community members interested in helping to support our fundrasing and development efforts. Due to fundng constraints, it is sometimes difficult to financially support all victims in need of services. Fundraising and development efforts help Georgia Cares provide victims with an opportunity to take positive steps toward restoration and recovery.
Activities may include, but are not limited to, assisting and supporting a Georgia Cares annual fundraising event, organizing fundraising "circles", facilitating "wish list" donaton drives for supplies for victims (clothes, shoes, rescue bags, gift cards, etc.), grant writing and research, acting as a "bridge builder" to help increase relationships with Atlanta Metro Area churches, corporations and community groups, and/or organize your own fundaiser.
Visit our website at gacares.org to complete the volunteer application. Submit to admin@gacares.org. A Georgia Cares staff member will be in touch within 48 hours via e-mail.
Both men and women over the age of 18 are encouraged to apply!
