Seasons Hospice, a local, non-profit, faith-based hospice, is searching for a dedicated team to further the We Honor Veterans Program! Volunteers can work weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, or yearly with this project, as it is ongoing and education-based.

We Honor Veterans (http://www.wehonorveterans.org/) is a collaborative program developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Veterans Administration to further the veteran-centric care of our nations heros in their final months. WHV teaches hospice providers and their partner organizations about veteran-related conditions, veteran-centric policies and procedures, and community outreach for veteran care/advocacy. WHV also partners with the Veterans History Project (http://www.loc.gov/vets/) and the Honor Flight program (www.honorflight.org) (currently on hold in Oklahoma due to funding) - and Seasons would like this team to help develop these programs in the Tulsa area!

WHV Program volunteers can work in the Seasons office, from home, in area nursing facilities, or on-line. Any commitment of time each month is appreciated!!

Our Veterans sacrificed so much for us - join our team and help to give back and say "Thank you"!

Mission Statement

Seasons Hospice exists to provide symptom control and support for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Seasons Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life.
