Infinity Hospice Care is seeking volunteers to provide companionship to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families. IHC offers a comprehensive training program to provide education on end-of-life issues, and we allow flexible schedules that meet your availability, with no minimum time requirements. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen. IHC will cover the cost of a mandatory TB test, as well.
Our volunteers are the heart of hospice! Spending quality time with patients and their families -- talking about their lives, reading, doing light house work, or providing respite for the caregiver -- makes a huge difference to those we are privileged to serve. Licensed professionals (hair stylists, massage therapists, etc.) who wish to volunteer their services are welcome. Also seniors, veterans, college students - anyone with the time and desire to make a difference! -- are encouraged to apply.
We serve the Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon and Silver Springs areas. To learn more about joining our volunteer program, please call Laura Schopen, Volunteer Coordinator at Infinity Hospice Care (775) 852-6002 or email at vc1.reno@infinityhospicecare.com.
