The Spring Cleaning All Year Round program is a meaningful volunteer opportunity to provide light house cleaning to a MOWSF senior. Volunteers work in teams of 2-4 for no more than 3 hours per cleaning.

More than 65% of our seniors live alone and many of them have physical and financial limitations, so basic housework is difficult, if not impossible, to do. This volunteer opportunity is a great way to meet a homebound senior and lift their spirits by removing dust and clutter, as well as providing them with social interaction.

This opportunity is good for volunteers who are looking for flexible weekend opportunities and to meet a variety of MOWSF seniors and volunteers. We ask volunteers in the Spring Cleaning program to volunteer at least four times a year. Ideally volunteers might have access to a car to take turns with others in picking up & returning cleaning items but that is not a requirement.

Also volunteers are required to undergo a thorough training and a background check.

MOWSF provides the cleaning supplies, so all volunteers need to bring are friendly smiles and a willingness to roll up their sleeves!
