Would you like to share your organizational and accounting skills to help us to help the horses? Red Bucket is actively looking for a Jr. Accountant to assist in managing our financial obligations. The Jr. Accountant is an entry-level position reporting to the CFO.
Skills:
- Mathematical aptitude
- Organized and detailed
- Proficient in word and excel
- Quickbooks experience preferred
- Analytical ability
- College degree experience in accounting is desirable
Duties would include:
- Make bank deposits, provide copies of checks to CFO & Database Manager
- Cash handling and reporting for Visitor Center
- Manage Drop in the Bucket program (monthly donation program)
- Track In-Kind donations, ensure donors receive tax receipts
- Follow up (as directed by CFO) with vendors, volunteers, donors
- Prepare checks for President to sign, ensure appropriate backup documentation
- Enter invoices into Quickbooks

Red Bucket is a 100-plus horse rescue located in Chino Hills, CA. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to saving and completely turning around the lives of slaughter-bound, abused, abandoned and neglected horses. We are staffed by dedicated horse enthusiasts, trainers, veterinarians, and hundreds of volunteers and supported by contributors whose kindness toward these beautiful, amazing animals is rewarded with love beyond measure.
