Volunteering your business expertise with SCORE Southwest Florida may be for you!
Since 1976, SCORE SWFL volunteer business experts have served Lee and Hendry Counties, including Ft. Myers (and beaches), Lehigh Acres, Cape Coral, Estero, Labelle, and surrounding communities. In 2017 SCORE SWFL volunteers delivered 1,560 total services and supported 100 new business starts and creation of 123 non-owner jobs.
To meet increasing services demand, SCORE SWFL is expanding the diversity and capacity of our local volunteer base.
Volunteer business expert opportunities include: 1) Mentoring (face-to-face, virtual, or my phone), 2) Teaching, planning or hosting local workshops, 3) Developing innovative collaborations and programs with community organizations, or 4) Supporting Chapter operational needs to achieve Chapter goals including committee leadership, client services, marketing, community outreach, fundraising, member services, or workshops.
Successful SCORE volunteer mentors are good listeners, empathetic, and adept at applying their diverse business experiences/expertise to meet the needs of each small business/entrepreneur client. We give you a coach, train you in our mentoring methodology and co-mentor with you as you get to know our clients.
