Be a part of exciting seasonal events at Reeves-Reed Arboretum! Reeves-Reed Arboretum hosts volunteer work sessions from10am-12pm on Saturdays in April, May, June and July. We welcome all volunteers ages 14 and up to help us tackle a wide variety of seasonal projects, from planting to garden mulching to woodland trail maintenance. Participate in one or more sessions. Volunteers ages 12 and 13 are welcome to participate but we ask that they be accompanied by an adult who is also volunteering that that day. Registration is required.

Mission Statement
Reeves-Reed Arboretum seeks to engage, educate and enrich its visitors so they may become better stewards of nature and the environment. This mission is achieved through the care and utilization of an historic estate and gardens.
Description
Reeves-Reed Arboretum is the only public garden and one of the largest green spaces in the City of Summit. Reeves-Reed Arboretum is listed on both the National and New Jersey Historic Registries.
The Arboretum consists of 13.5 acres of historic buildings, landscaping, stone structures, stairways, gardens and retaining walls. The historic Wisner House, built in 1889 in the Colonial Revival style, serves as the Arboretum's administrative building. The historic Carriage House serves as the Arboretum's Environmental Education Center.
