Volunteers will interact with riders during their lessons by horse leading, side walking, sometimes grooming and tacking horses before a lesson, and turning them out afterwards.
Volunteers interested in interacting with the clients in their lessons by way of horse leading or side walking will be asked to participate in a training class to familiarize themselves with the role. Horse Leaders must have prior horse handling experience. Side Walkers do not need to have any previous horse experience. Volunteers must be 14 years old or older.
