Do you have a love for technology? As a volunteer IT support specialist, you will work directly with our IT manager to provide support to staff over the phone or in-person, diagnose hardware and software faults, solve technical and application problems, and monitor and maintain computer systems and networks. The volunteer will have an energetic approach to problem solving and serve at the Mosqueda Community Center.
Expectation: With the support of the volunteer IT support specialist, 50% of staff will be using computers without issues.
Activities: The information listed below is meant to serve as samples of volunteer duties and responsibilities. This list is neither inclusive nor exclusive, but indicative of several types of duties performed.
- Check out equipment to staff members
- Ensuring equipment are returned
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Talking to staff through a series of actions, either face to face, over the phone, or email
Qualifications:
- Experience with MAC, windows
- Wiring connection experience
- Windows server experience
- Internet "savy"
- Experience with navigating the Internet
- Problem solver
- Positive attitude
Time Frame: 3 hours a day, 3 days a week, for at least 3 consecutive months.

Supervision: The volunteer IT support specialist will report to the IT manager.

We see ourselves as bridging the "achievement gap" for our children by providing holistic and long-term programs.
