We are looking for a volunteer who can manage and develop relationships with area grocery stores who generously donate fruit and vegetables that are considered no longer saleable for human consumption. Besides helping to feed our flock, you'll be working to keep foods still fit for avian consumption out of the landfill! You will be setting your own schedule and route based on the grocery stores collected from and their schedules. For example, we currently have a store needing food donations picked up at 11 am on Wednesdays. Pickup times will vary based on what you schedule with the grocery store. We would like someone who can be flexible and help out on an as-needed basis as well. Heavy lifting could be required at times (example: 50# bags of bird seed).

You would be using your own vehicle.
