Become a Waimea Valley Volunteer Greeter
This opportunity is for an outgoing, helpful individual who likes meeting new people from all over the world. You are going to be the first smiling face that the visitors will see when they enter the Valley and you'll help them get started on their Waimea Valley Adventure. We want their time here to begin with someone who is happy sharing their Aloha spirit and helping the guests learn about all of the many wonderful things we do here.
The greeters are a committed, vibrant group of individuals that support the guests' learning and exploration of Waimea Valley. We take the time to ensure that our greeters are trained and taught about the botanical gardens, the significant cultural sites and the history of this wonderful valley. They spend their days in our visitors center answering guest questions, sharing our many attractions and events, and directing the visitors to the ticket booth.
The regular volunteers in the visitors center come in as often as 2-3 times a week, but if you want to, you can be there every day. We have availabilities for this position monday through sunday and we only ask that you commit to training and setting up a schedule with us ahead of time so that we can ensure that the area is always covered.
