Empower adults with disabilities and special needs in our Batavia adult day program. A variety of volunteer opportunities are available including: assistance with lunch time activities, arts & craft activities, coaching on computers, cooking, exercise/fitness and gardening.

Weekday daytime volunteers are our greatest need, volunteer shifts can be anytime on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Other volunteer locations include: Elgin, Yorkville, Sugar Grove and Aurora.

Description

For over 50 years, the Association for Individual Development (AID) has provided services to individuals who have developmental, physical, and/or mental disabilities, those who have suffered trauma or those at risk.

All clients have access to vital, life enriching services including: early intervention; developmental therapy; autism programs; audiology; respite care; permanent affordable housing; developmental and vocational training; job placement and on-the-job coaching services; crisis intervention; community education and advocacy.
