Content Visionary Needed!

Wagging Dog Rescue is looking for a Content Generator / Visionary in SoCal who can help the rescue with it's overall presentation to the public. This will include what info/content is produced on our social media channels and website as well as any other applicable marketing arenas. This volunteer position can be done remotely although we hope our EC will be close enough that we can meet in person at some point (perhaps at events, etc.). This is a very crucial role in our rescue effort. By having an overall vision and presentation plan, we will be more effective at getting our dogs into great homes, raising much needed funds, and recruiting other like minded, driven animal lovers to our mission. We will be more successful this year! Here are some needs of our Visionary:

• passionate animal lover :)
• detail oriented with excellent project management skills
• excellent grammar and language skills (written and verbal)
• available access to email with ability to manage a small distribution list
• ability to utilize email as a main form of communication as this will be critical for the key volunteers and the Visionary to remain in contact; cell phone with internet access also desired
• familiarity with Google docs
• personal Facebook account and familiarity/expertise with this social media space
• knowledge/expertise of other channels (Instagram, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Yelp)
• CREATIVITY and VISION to help us achieve new heights in our public engagement which will help WDR to grow and be more successful than ever!
• career marketing and/or social media experience an added bonus!
• TIME to commit

The WDR Visionary will create and maintain an overall marketing presentation schedule (in Google docs) which will then be executed across all social channels. Each site has it's own set of admins who will be your team to help achieve your goals. We have much content that needs to be put out there each week, including our orphans looking for homes, our calls for volunteer help, our never ending need for donations and support, current news, event notices, educational/informative articles, memes, etc. We are looking for someone committed to our rescue and mission. Our content visionary will be a core member of WDR and integral to our overall success. The visionary has the power to really take WDR to new levels this year in all aspects of rescue, and we feel this person will put the rescue ahead of most of our peers. We are looking for a team player, someone who believes in WDR and is committed to the organization's effort, someone who is in it for the long haul. This volunteer role as a lead project manager will take more of your time than the average volunteering opportunity as it is a fundamental role in the rescue effort. YOU will be one of the main people helping to make the rescue successful, working closely with the other project managers, and together we'll pool ideas, thoughts and concepts to do great things :)
