Do you throw a mean party?
We are seeking a few energetic, fun-loving people who know how to get stuff done to help us plan and execute awesome events, including our signature parties, for our animal welfare organization.
You'll be a key player in event design and execution, so come ready with all your enthusiasm, talents and time to commit to the cause!
Our event team members:
- Come up with novel, exciting event themes and elements
- Help source venues
- Line up vendors and sponsors
- Plan theme and decor
- Send out invites and track RSVPs
- Coordinate ticketing
- Procure raffle items and create baskets
- Work the event
Our events range from cocktail parties to purse parties to holiday parties featuring goats!
Get involved now to be a part of our annual Scotch & Chocolate Party - our main fundraising event - or our signature Little Black Dress Party - a girls' night out with a twist!
We are looking for a few special volunteers who are the real deal! Are you goal oriented? Do you believe in service to the commuity? Love animals? Can you keep a commitment and get to the finish line?
Your involvement will vary, but we hope to assemble a leadership team of event volunteers to plan and execute events throughout the year - some small, some large. We hold events both in the WearWoof Shop - our beautiful charity resale boutique in McIntyre Square, as well as traditional event venues.

Mission Statement
WearWoof’s Mission is to establish Pittsburgh as the Middle Atlantic region’s most pet-friendly city by supporting the work of like-minded shelters, rescues and organizations in ending pet homelessness, providing resources and education for responsible pet ownership, and aiding the efforts of small, volunteer based local rescues through the consolidation of information, resources and support.
Description
WearWoof is not a shelter or rescue. We are an animal welfare organization that operates a women’s resale shop. Our goal is to support the work of approved shelters and rescues whose mission is aligned with ours. Although we support the efforts Pittsburgh area Shelter and Rescue Partners of all sizes, we are especially attentive to the needs of smaller rescues and shelters who are big on heart but low on resources. Proceeds from sales at the shop, as well as our other fundraising activities, are directed toward our Shelter and Rescue Partners. These Partners are local groups and organizations that must undergo an application and vetting process before being approved to receive WearWoof funding and support.
