Classroom

About us: The Extra Mile Academy (TEMA) gives financial literacy presentations on topics such as budgeting, credit, and investing. We train high school students to be the presenters, as there is no better way for students to internalize the information than to teach it to others. Our students are called Ambassadors and we also offer career exploration opportunities for them. We work to set up mock interviews, job shadows, and internships in the fields of their choice. We do not charge the schools, students, or parents for our programs. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and are fully funded by grants and donations.

The Extra Mile Academy (TEMA) is seeking a volunteer Grant Writer. The candidate we are looking for will have experience in working with a new nonprofit, volunteer their time in researching and developing fund opportunities and the upfront work of the grant writing. Compensation will be 50% of the grants acquired and received. A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) is required.
