Currently, we have three major openings we need to fill: Mondays (2 people from 12:30pm-4:15pm), and Tuesdays (1 person from 12pm-4:30pm). Other schedules permitted as availability allows.
If you have retail experience or a keen eye for detail and organizational flow, you will be enthusiastic to get your hands in the mix!
Join us at Tod's Corner. We will unload donation deliveries and drop-offs, sort donations and ensure shelves and racks are stocked with clothing that accommodates all shapes and sizes of folks. Tod's Corner features a number of small spaces that offer clothing, winter coats and jackets, dishes ad household goods, linens, baby clothing and goods, and general household items.
Volunteer shifts are available in the afternoons on Mondays from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Tuesday from 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm and Thursday from 1:00 pm - 5:30 pm.
Tod's Corner is a program of Our House of Portland. Our House provides integrated health and housing services to people with HIV/AIDS. Guided by compassion, collaboration, and respect, we provide 24-hour specialized care, supportive services, and independent housing with support services. Volunteers engaging in this opportunity are directly serving our mission by ensuring all donations are managed, stocked and shared with our clients when they arrive to Tod's Corner. These spaces are primarily staffed via volunteers. Volunteers may engage in sorting and stocking donations, deep cleaning our facility, and connecting with clients - all of which enable us to serve clients and their families to attain independent living.
MANDATORY COVID VACCINE REQIREMENTS:
In furtherance of our efforts to protect the health and safety of our clients, residents, staff and volunteers and in accordance with public health guidance Our House of Portland is requiring all volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 15, 2021. According to the CDC, people are considered to be fully vaccinated:
- Two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, e.g., the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, e.g., Johnson & Johnson's Janssen vaccine
Proof of vaccination record will be required prior to first volunteer shift.
