Celebrate Earth Day by participating in Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge’s Earth Day Work Day!

Many consider the first Earth Day in 1970 to be the birth of the modern environmental movement. Earth Day has become an annual international event promoting community involvement, a healthier environment, and more sustainable living. Celebrate this Earth Day by participating in Earth Day Work Day at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Saturday, April 21, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We need help with battling invasive and noxious weeds that take over natural Refuge habitat, protecting wildlife from injury by picking up litter on the refuge and other projects as well.

Register by contacting Nic Carlson at deerflat@fws.gov or 208-467-9278.
