The Phoenix Residence is currently looking for volunteers at one of our group homes in the Twin Cities to provide assistance to our individuals during the day, evenings, or on weekends. Looking for someone who would like to play games, do crafts, watch movies, listen to music, and go on community outings. Come and make a difference in the life of adults with disabilities!

The Phoenix Residence, Inc (PRI) is a non-profit organization founded in St. Paul Minnesota in 1974 by Margaret Ludden a parent of a son with disabilities. Margaret formed a coalition of parents like her that had grown children with developmental and physical disabilities.

Mission Statement

The Phoenix Residence, Inc. is dedicated to the development of quality living experiences for persons with developmental and physical disabilities. Each service and program strives for safety, independence, and quality of care in a home atmosphere through respect and dignity for one another.

Description

  • The Phoenix Residence, Inc. is a teaching and training program that helps individuals develop skills in order to live with as much independence and self-determination as possible.
  • We have been a provider of residential services for nearly 40 years. The Phoenix Residence owns and operates 19 homes in the St. Paul metro area. We have homes located in St. Paul, Maplewood, Roseville, Arden Hills, Mounds View, White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Newport, Little Canada, and Apple Valley.
  • The homes have either have four or six people living in them, based on the license of that particular home. The majority of people served within the organization are 18 and older, but a couple of the homes are licensed to serve persons 16 and older.
  • We provide teaching and training in areas of activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene). money management skills, community integration, and social skills.
