This is the time for you to help out kids who are taking time away from therapy - physical, chemo or other - to be with horses.

Volunteers are needed as horse handlers and side walkers for trail rides for special needs children and teens. Horse handlers will lead horses along the trail while side walkers assist with the child's balance as required.

The program operates Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for two 10 week sessions. The Spring Session runs April 25-July 8, 2017, no session Sat. May 27 (Memorial Day weekend), the Fall Session runs September 5-November 11, 2017. Tuesday/Thursday hours are 2:30-5:30. Saturday hours are 9:00-1:30 offered in three shifts; 9:00-11:30, 11:00-1:30 or full shift.

Volunteers are also needed for Summer Camp. Volunteers assist campers with daily riding/groundwork lessons, other horse related activities, crafts and play time. Camp runs five consecutive weeks, Monday thru Thursday, 9:00-4:00, July 10-13, July 17-20, July 24-27, July 31-Aug. 3 and Aug. 7-10. Three shifts are offered; 9:00-12:30, 12:30-4:00 or full day. A minimum commitment of one week is required.
