About

Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. MADD also supports the victims and survivors of drunk and drugged driving at no charge, serving one person every eight minutes through local MADD victim advocates and at 1-877-MADD-HELP.

Benefits: An excellent opportunity for exercising your expertise in the area of underage drinking prevention while making a significant difference in your community. Most importantly, this is an incredible opportunity to provide a valuable service to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Purpose: To serve as an underage drinking prevention volunteer in roles such as Power of Youth facilitator, Power of Parent facilitator, and/or community events ambassador.

Responsibilities:

  • Become certified as a facilitator
  • Collaborate with staff to build relationships and partnerships within the community that support MADD’s underage drinking prevention initiative
  • Facilitate Power of Youth presentations to schools, youth groups, after school programs, etc.
  • Facilitate Power of Parent workshops to worksites, PTA’s, parent meetings, etc.
  • Attend and promote MADD’s messaging to community events such as fairs and festivals
