The new downtown CRPL opens August 24, 2013.

If you are considering a career in education or libraries or have your masters in library science - this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Cedar Rapids Public Library is partnering with the Iowa Campus Compact to recruit an AmeriCorps national service member for a one-year placement in the library's children's department. This position will help expand the library's reading programs and volunteer opportunities to support literacy in our community.

This is part of a federally funded program designed to grow the capacity of the library in making a difference by investing in young minds.
