Many people at the end of their lives are unable to go out and see their friends and do the hobbies they loved so much. If you become a Hospice Volunteer, you can go to them! No matter where they live or how much they are still able to do, people on hospice benefit from the friendly presence of volunteers. Volunteer with Brookdale Hospice and provide companionship and caring presence to hospice patients living at a Brookdale Senior Living community in Denton. You will receive free orientation and training and will be able to meet patients to read, share stories, listen to music, or provide respite for family members. Your companionship and caring presence ensures that patients spend the end of their life in dignity and comfort. Brookdale Hospice has many other locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding cities. Training and orientation will be scheduled to fit to your schedule. Contact tchoate@brookdale.com for more information.
We are currently not seeing patients in the Senior Living communities, but with agreement and using CDC guidelines, we can visit them if they are living at home.
Until it is safe to do so, you could assist in other ways. Contact tchoate@brookdale.com to learn how you can make a difference during this time.

Mission Statement
Our Mission Statement is simple but powerful: Enriching the lives of those we serve with compassion, respect, excellence and integrity.
Description
Life is much more than physical health; it is also the dignity of the human spirit. When physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes increasingly important. Hospice care is a service that aids the transition between living and dying by providing respect, care, comfort, and support to patients and families.
Brookdale Hospice volunteers provide important support to the care of our patients and families.
Brookdale Hospice serves primarily residents at Brookdale Senior Living communities and the surrounding neighborhoods. We are CHAP accredited and a member of the NHPCO.
