EurAupair International Child Care Programs

EurAupair is looking for a Community Representative in The Hamptons area of NY. This is a paid volunteer position. Reimbursement is $700 per year/per family. This position works out to around 5 hours or less per month.

By getting involved as an Area Rep, you will be making a difference in the world - one young person at a time. As a EurAupair representative, you'll be that all-important point person for au pairs placed in your area during their year abroad, and for the host families in your area during their program year. Representative, advocate and friend are just some of the roles you will play as you oversee the EurAupair program in your area and help the au pairs and host families get the most out of their year together.

What Are Some of the Responsibilities of a EurAupair Community Representative?

As a trained EurAupair Community Representative, you'll receive on-going support from your EurAupair Area Coordinator and Regional Director as you take on a variety of challenging roles! Not only will you help young people from around the world, you will also get to know the host families in your own area. In addition, you will expand your circle of community contacts by establishing relationships with local businesses, civic groups, clubs and other organizations as you promote awareness of the EurAupair Program in your area.

Take a look at just some of the skills you'll use and responsibilities you'll have.

Mission Statement

With over 25 years of experience, EurAupair (pronounced "yoor--pair") is an official United States government designated exchange visitor program sponsor. EurAupair is a U.S. not-for-profit, public benefit organization founded to improve understanding among people of different countries through cultural exchange. EurAupair is one of the oldest, largest and most trusted au pair organizations in the United States. Through its network of affiliated overseas offices, EurAupair screens young people who want to become au pairs.

Like the au pair tradition itself, EurAupair has its roots in Europe. From this long-standing heritage, EurAupair brings to the United States bright, responsible au pairs who assist in caring for your children in exchange for inclusion in American family life, the opportunity to study at an American college, and exposure to a new culture.

An au pair offers parents extra support to make juggling a busy schedule easier. Au pairs can transport your children to music lessons, Little League and Scout meetings - so your children needn't miss out on anything! Au pairs can get children ready for school in the morning, greet them and help them with homework in the afternoons, care for a sick child or take them to the doctor or dentist when you can't be there.

EurAupair offers today's busy families a child care alternative that is culturally enriching, convenient, legal and affordable too.
