Working with children from traumatic backgrounds

ORGANIZATION: UMCM Suncoast

UMCM Suncoast is looking for adult volunteers to work at our Centers for Early Learning during the morning. The Centers serve children from traumatic backgrounds; they often experience poverty, abuse, or family substance abuse. We work alongside social workers who refer families to our sites. There, the children are provided with high-quality early education from qualified, kind and compassionate staff at no cost to the families.

Volunteers play and read to the children and help the teachers with snacks and lessons. No experience necessary! Just flexibility and a desire to be around children.
