Do you love reading to kids? Become a BookReach volunteer!

BookReach is the early literacy outreach program of the Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries. We match volunteer readers with small in-home daycares throughout Lewiston, Auburn, and Minot. Our volunteers are back to in-person story times and making every effort to support the children of our community and encourage literacy. Volunteers pick up a bag of ten books chosen by our Children's librarians from the Lewiston or Auburn Public Library, to bring to the daycares and share with the children. Our volunteers also incorporate active songs and rhymes to encourage self-expression and engagement. BookReach is currently featuring a wide variety of bags with themes such as dinosaurs, food, seasons, and school. Have a significant impact on kindergarten readiness and early literacy development by volunteering for just one hour per week!
