Elderly low income vision impaired man needs transportation to doctor's apointments, shopping etc. from home in Bucoda to Olympia and/or Centralia. Outside of Dial a Lift area and cannot manage alone with bus transfers. Volunteers can accept or decline requests according to their personal schedules. Volunteer mileage reimbursement available from home.

Description
Our program exists as a safety net for low-income elders and people with disabilities (also low-income)by providing them with services that allow them to remain living as independently as possible in their own homes (not assisted living). For example, a 89 year old woman who only collects $600/mo. in Social Security needs help with her lawn. She can't afford to pay someone, and if her lawn goes a couple of months without being mowed, now the lawn is a fire hazard.
