Office volunteers are needed during our normal business hours to answer phones, log-in calls, and respond to inquiries about programs or services. You will also document requests for services from clients, and phone volunteers to fill these requests. Schedule is flexible; a commitment of 2-4 hours per week is preferred. To provide opportunities for adults 55+ and over to live independent, meaningful lives through programs of service and enrichment.
The Shepherd's Center is a non-profit, volunteer-based, interfaith organization serving older adults in the local community with services to assist them to continue to live independently in their own homes and enrichment programs to stimulate lifelong learning. Services include transportation to medical appointments, companion shopping, food delivery, minor home repairs, friendly callers and visitors, record keeping assistance and support groups. Some of the programs offered are Adventures in Learning classes, quarterly luncheons, and trips.
