This one day festival is a showcase of visual and performance arts from youth across the city of Alexandria, giving them an opportunity to share their immense creativity with a broad audience. This free, family friendly event, includes over 25 live performance acts and hundreds of visual arts pieces, compined with over 12 interactive arts booths to engage patrons from all ages and walks of life. This event, which started in 2010 is made possible through partnerships with various City of Alexandria agencies, the Alexandria City Public Schools as well as ARHA.
We are currently looking for volunteers to help in the following areas:
- Event set-up: from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Visual display set-up: from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- Stage management: from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
- Interactive art booths: from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
- Event logistics: from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Event clean-up: from 4:00 pm to 6 pm
***T-shirts and refreshments will be provided to volunteers. Volunteers should check in at the "Command Center" before assisting at the festival.
