Regenerative Sciences Institute (RSI) is accepting applications for our Biotechnology Internship Program.
Volunteer interns will have the rare opportunity to be instructed by senior investigators in molecular and synthetic biology and biotechnology research related to the AMRITA initiative focused on enhancing regeneration. Research will involve application of synthetic and molecular biology techniques to the discovery of basic regeneration mechanisms and the development of regenerative therapies. Interns will be expected to commit at least 20 hours/week for at least 1 year. Some knowledge of undergraduate level chemistry and biology is desirable. This is a volunteer position, so no compensation is available. At the successful completion of this program, interns will have achieved a working knowledge of molecular and synthetic biology techniques and research methodology. Our former interns have pursued careers in medicine, scientific research and industry. The internship is sponsored by Regenerative Sciences Institute (RSI), a non-profit academic research organization in the heart of the Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, CA. RSI has a close working relationship with PRI, a leading biotech incubator in the SF Bay area. To apply, please submit a resume with any pertinent information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
