Become a Hospice Photography Volunteer

ORGANIZATION: Elara Caring

Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.

If you are compassionate and enjoy photography, you could become a Photography Volunteer. Volunteers might be asked to attend special events, such as Tea Parties and Veteran Pinnings to photograph the patients in attendance. Families of a patient might request that a volunteer capture a portrait of their loved one. Great Lakes also hosts an event called Holding Hands, where we photograph patients holding the hands of their loved ones. The photograph is then given to the family as a memento.

All volunteers must have own equipment; camera not provided.

Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends.
