Sumner Teen Center has monthly opportunities for professionals to share about their career or skill with a small group of youth (typically around 5:30 on a weekday). We don't want this to be a 'presentation', but an interactive, hands on type opportunity that is memorable and not so 'classlike'. Take homes are welcome.
We are also building a database of information to match students with area professionals when they are deciding on their career path. This may be as much as a part time intern/job or as little as a day of job shadowing, depending on the depth of the student interest.
Serious inquiries should be able to pass a background check as well as have professional references and credentials supporting your area of expertise.
