About

Support the The Salvation Army Chula Vista Corps in providing services to the community by teaching Spanish to members of the community who are learning Spanish as a Second Language.

Qualifications/Skills/Certifications Needed:

1. Prior Spanish instructor experience or training preferred

2. Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate

3. Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants

4. Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Prepare a syllabus and daily lesson plans for each class, based on student needs

2. Instruct assigned Spanish Language class for a minimum of a 6 month period

3. Counsel and support students in developing and accomplishing individual learning goals, as needed

4. Document student attendance, progress, and areas of need
