Financial Services Coalition -Puget Sound is currently looking for a Volunteer Accountant.

Responsibilities

? Oversee budgets and financial spending of fiscal clients

? Prepare and maintain financial reports and documents

? Provides information to the Board of Directors based on findings, analyses and recommendations

? Maintain accurate QuickBooks files

? Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data

? Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local requirements

? Assists with special financial projects as requested

Qualifications

? Basic accounting principles

? QuickBooks knowledge

? Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written)

? Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

? Strong attention to detail and time management

Time Commitment

This position requires a commitment of 2-3 hours per week . We offer a lot of flexibility in when and how you complete those hours and many of the tasks and responsibilities can be done remotely, working online, at a time that is convenient for you. Every staff member is required to attend a monthly board meeting

Compensation

This is a volunteer position. There will be no financial compensation. Our organization is ran 100% volunteer

Description

The objectives of this Corporation shall be, to engage in any lawful act or activity such as any corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, the objectives of this Corporation shall be:

  • To promote economic development and provide technical, educational, and advisory assistance to economically disadvantaged communities.
  • To provide scholarships to college-bound students from economically disadvantaged communities who have expressed an interest in the financial services industry.
  • To help educate and inform youth about the employment opportunities available in the financial services industry.
