The Head Start Associate collaborates with supervisor to deliver curriculum in accordance with Head Start regulations, licensing and guidelines, as well as agency standards. Build positive relationships with students that focus on positive communication, appropriate physical proximity, respect, and positive discipline and guidance. Volunteers/Interns may find opportunities in programs that can include Public Heath, ERSI Enrollment, Special Education, and Head Start Center Administration and in class assistance based on the appropriate supervision required by student and their academic program. Volunteers/Interns will gain hands-on experience in assisting Head Start staff in providing a multitude of services to twenty-nine Head Start Centers, located around the city of San Antonio.
