Purpose/Impact: Volunteer legal advocates help provide support to participants as they navigate the legal system. The process can be emotionally challenging for participants, and our advocates are there to make the process more manageable.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting participants file for Orders of Protection
Accompanying participants to court for moral support
Educating participants on courtroom etiquette and hearing expectation management
Doing administrative work in the legal advocacy office
