Are you looking for a gratifying and emotionally meaningful opportunity? Blue Ridge Hospice is looking for volunteers to assist with our patients and offices throughout South Carolina. At Blue Ridge Hospice, our volunteers are a very important part of the hospice team. Volunteers assist in a variety of roles that include direct contact with patients and providing administrative support.

Although we cannot add days to live, we can add life to days. Our volunteers are very important! There are many ways that you can volunteer. Some of the volunteer roles are:

  • Assist with small household chores or run errands.
  • Work alongside the Chaplin to provide spiritual and emotional support.
  • Friendly patient visits offering comfort and support.
  • Read to patients or write letters for them.
  • Provide clerical assistance in our office.
  • And so much more!

Description

Just as every person is unique, so is every hospice patient. Our care plans are tailored to meet the needs of each patient and family. The Crescent Hospice team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, hospice aides, and volunteers.

Hospice services include comprehensive medical care; pain and symptom management; grief/bereavement counseling, emotional and spiritual support; placement of medical equiptment and supplies; and assistance with dailiy living needs.

Hospice provides family-centered care that includes the patient and their loved ones in the decision making process. We have locations throughout South Carolina.
