The Carying Place is seeking volunteers in mnay areas, such as support partners, caring sponsors, selection team, children's program, meal coordinator, meal provider, furniture and family moving help, housing maintenance, professtional services, aftercare and office help.
Volunteers are key to the success of our mission. The candiddate must be able to work with staff to assist the families with their objectives without judging, rescuing or imposing their own solutions or lifestyle. Our goal is to teach the families skills that will lead to independence. Experience is needed in some areas such as housing maintenance, professional services and office help. In other areas, volunteers will be trained for that specific volunteer assignment.

To provide transitional housing and support services to working families with children who are experiencing homelessness.
Description
The Carying Place (TCP) provides a 4-month transitional housing program for working families with children who are experiencing homelessness. The program aims to promote "self-sufficiency" by helping families overcome homelessness through budgeting, goal setting, case management and encouragement to take control of their lives and their situation. Our children's program strives to decrease the negative effects of homelessness and trauma on children through empowerment, psycho-education, enrichment activites and case management.
