Help adults improve their literacy skills so they may fulfill their personal goals and take advantage of opportunities as lifelong learners. The Riverside County Library System literacy headquarters is recruiting volunteer tutors to teach an adult to read. The literacy headquarters are located at the Robidoux Library in Jurupa Valley but serves all 35 Riverside County Library locations. Volunteer hours will vary from morning, afternoon, and early evenings as your schedule will allow. You will work one-on-one with a learner using materials offered by the literacy program. It is suggested that the tutor and learner meet at least once a week for a minimum of one hour to achieve their goal. Complete a volunteer tutor application by clicking on the literacy link at www.rivlib.net.
