PLACEMENT PURPOSE
This position is a holding position for those interested in becoming a Pillowcase Presenter or Assistant, and are awaiting training. Online training and in person teach backs are required before being assigned as a Presenter or Assistant. This is a national program being offered throughout 2014 in the South Jersey Region. Using carefully assessed curriculum tools, this one-hour program provides emergency-preparedness education to youth in grades 3-5 in school and after-school settings. In a highly interactive format, the program addresses fire safety, local hazards, coping skills and making a personal emergency kit in pillowcase that is supplied by the program
OPEN TIME DAYS
2 Hour commitment per presentation (1 hour set up/clean up, 1 hour presentation) not including picking up and dropping off materials from the Chapter, commuting to and from presentation site, or any additional tasks done at the Chapter

Disaster Services: An Overview
Community Disaster Education presenter training
Pillowcase Project presenter training (including teachbacks)
Shadowing presentations with experienced presenters
