We are looking for volunteers!
Do you like meeting and interacting with new people? Maybe you'd like to be one of our floor staff or cashiers. You don't need retail experience - we'll train you!
Do you like seeing interesting new items or enjoy taking things apart? We could use your help in our donations acceptance and processing area.
Perhaps you'd like to help build houses, as well as work in the ReStore. We'd love to have your help!
Are you interested in "green" causes? We do a lot of recycling and selling of up-cyclable items, and we've kept over 1,300 tons of materials out of the waste stream since we opened August 2014.
You can be a part of that by helping us in our effort to make the world a place where everyone has a decent place to live. Join the Habitat for Humanity ReStore Volunteer Team!

Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity & ReStore's Mission Statement: To have a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We advocate for affordable housing for all, and we support the global community's commitment to housing as a basic human right. In all of our work, we seek to put shelter on hearts and minds, in such powerful ways, that poverty housing becomes socially, politically, and religiously unacceptable. We promote dignity and hope. We believe that every person has something to contribute, and something to gain, from creating communities in which all people have decent, affordable places to live.

Description

How does a Habitat ReStore work? It’s simple! The next time you’re putting in new cabinets, replacing a window or door, or completing any other kind of home improvement project, you can bring your usable, old items to the ReStore, instead of throwing them away. Shoppers can then purchase these items for use in their own homes, at a fraction of the retail costs. Proceeds from the ReStore help to build Habitat for Humanity homes in our area. Having a donated inventory enables profits to be earned quickly for the construction of more homes. Volunteers help take in donations, process them, put them on the sales floor; they also help customers find and purchase items.
