The Unidos Por Libertad Foundation in Arizona is looking for ESL teachers that can donate 3 hours each week to eager students looking to learn and communicate better in English. Gisel Medina Montero of the Unidos Por Libertad Foundation started an English program for Hispanics and non native speakers in Mesa Arizona in 2015. She planned to have one class with 30 students but after more than 600 people signed up in two and a half weeks we had to add 5 more classes. After 3 years and 6 semesters of ESL we now offer classes to over 600 people per semester. This is a community service project and the most important thing for us is that each person advances in each class. We have an outlined class schedule using Side by Side ESL by Pearson Education.
We are looking for Volunteer Teachers and Teaching Assistants. Classes are Monday and Wednesday 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am to 11:00am. This opportunity requires a commitment of 5 months. There are multiple locations all in Downtown Mesa Arizona.
