About the Young Professional Board
Deborah’s Place, a dynamic Chicago-based nonprofit organization, is seeking motivated individuals to join its Young Professional Board Marketing Committee. This peer-driven board will raise both funds and awareness for Deborah’s Place, which provides a continuum of supportive housing options for single Chicago women experiencing homelessness.
The Young Professional Board (YPB) offers its members the opportunity to develop leadership, communication, volunteer and fundraising skills all while working with Deborah’s Place to break the cycle of homelessness for women in Chicago. The YPB will provide multiple social and networking activities throughout the year giving members the opportunity to meet new people and develop contacts.
If you enjoy planning events, supporting charitable work, and like having fun while doing so, then you already qualify!
Marketing & PR Committee - This committee is responsible for securing media sponsors for YPB fundraising events. They also compose and design the event invitation and collateral materials. This committee will work with the External Relations Manager to distribute information to media outlets and invitations to the public.

Deborah’s Place is Chicago’s largest provider of supportive housing exclusively for women and is recognized as an innovative leader among homeless service providers locally and nationally. Since our founding in 1985, we have worked collaboratively with our participants, offered a range of high quality services and tried new approaches - putting Deborah’s Place at the forefront of agencies making a difference to those in need in Chicago.
