Ready to get your hands dirty for education?

We offer several workshops throughout the year as well as design educational materials for public display and distribution.

Our Education Volunteers will help design, run, and teach adult conservation education workshops. They will also help design educational materials. If able, they will help generate unique, original artwork, photography, and design.

Mission Statement

In order to conserve, protect, and enhance the natural resources in the Tualatin River Watershed, we: Assess watershed conditions, identify resource concerns, and select strategies to help natural resources meet standards and all beneficial uses; Provide technical assistance to help private landowners install conservation practices to meet natural resource goals and their own objectives; Increase the public’s knowledge of and involvement in natural resource issues and solutions; and Deliver conservation programs and services to individuals, groups, and other governments. Vision of the Tualatin River Watershed The vision toward which the District strives is to have a clean and healthy watershed that supports all beneficial uses for people, fish, and wildlife; a vibrant economy; and livable communities.

Description

We advocate for local natural resource concerns and landowner needs, helping to set standards and expectations to meet goals. We involve the community in our work through education, public outreach and volunteer opportunities as well as by soliciting feedback on resource concerns.
