PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Assist Red Cross in delivering mission by alleviating human suffering caused by disasters
OPEN TIME DAYS
Alpha, Charlie and Delta teams rotate being on-call.｠ Teams are on-call for one week out of every three.｠ During its on-call week, the team is on-duty to respond to disasters that occur 5pm to 5am Monday through Friday nights, and anytime during the weekend.｠ During the team's on-call week, members must sign up for a minimum of two on-call shifts.｠ During an on-call shift, the volunteer must be accessible by phone and willing to respond immediately to local disasters if called.｠ On-call shifts are for a 12 hour period.
