Volunteers needed to provide companionship, socialization, respite, and shopping/errands to terminally ill patients and their families. The volunteer is basically an extra set of eyes on the patient while in the patients home. No hands on care is required as you would simply be providing a break to the caregiver, or some socialization to the patient. Approximately 3 hours 1 time a week in the patients home at your convenience. I would make every effort to find you a patient that is close to your home.
This is a great way to give back to the community while still remaining flexible to your own schedule and location.
