If you enjoy leading groups of engaged community members ready to do some good for our local environment, then this may be the volunteer opportunity for you! TreeUtah needs Volunteer Team Leaders (VTLs) to help us facilitate Saturday and occasional weekday tree plantings from September through November, or 7 - 10 hours a month. We ask that VTLs who go through training and get a background check commit to 3 events.
Team Leaders play a critical role in helping TreeUtah staff successfully coordinate tree plantings and events with groups of engaged community volunteers. A Team Leader engages and manages volunteers to safely and correctly plant trees at schools, parks, and other public locations. The Team Leader is responsible for making sure each volunteer planter is warmly received and engaged through the entire course of the planting. In return, TreeUtah promises to make sure each of its Team Leaders are thoroughly prepared, informed, and appreciated for his or her invaluable service.

Description
TreeUtah is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and since our inception, we have been educating people of all ages about the benefits that trees have in our communities, throughout Utah. TreeUtah is designed to facilitate local tree planting projects, lend technical support by overseeing community tree plantings, organize and mobilize volunteers, as well as educating and training the public in tree stewardship. We also serve as a catalyst in developing the community alliances that are critical to preserving Utah’s urban and community forests.
Since 1990, TreeUtah has planted over 350,000 trees throughout the State of Utah from the help of over 120,000 volunteers that have donated over 200,000 volunteer hours. We seek to educate the public about the environmental and social benefits that healthy tree commun-ities provide.CAUSE AREAS
