ORGANIZATION: The FitWit Foundation

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

FitWit Club is a free afterschool club that provides students who don't play sports access to fitness opportunities.

Exposure to fitness is one of the goals for FitWit Club. In order to make this possible, we invite fitness instructors and volunteers, like yourself to volunteer their time, leading FitWit Club members through a workout of their choice/area of expertise (ex: pilates, kettlebells, yoga, zumba, rock climbing, boxing, spin, etc.). Possibilities are varied and limitless.

Most all Guest Instructor opportunities are a one-time commitment and good for individuals and/or small groups.

**Some instructors may prefer to work with one gender, in this case, two guest instructors will be scheduled.

Mission Statement

The FitWit Foundation envisions a a future where young people belong to a community, dedicated to fitness; that empowers them to believe in themselves and strive for success every day.

Description

The FitWit Foundation provides free fitness programs that build strength and develop character for the young people who need it most. We do this through our flaship program, FitWit Club. FitWit Club, is a school club run in middle and high schools that invites students on a year long journey to strengthen their minds, bodies, and communities. We believe that all youth deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential. While decreasing obesity and improving fitness are important to us, our primary aim lies in using fitness as the vehicle to empower children to believe in themselves and strive for success every day.
