Admissions Desk and Museum Gift Shop
Make New Friends but Keep the Old... As one of the first contacts in our beautiful Visitors Center you welcome our guests and provide information about our 30-acre outdoor museum. Selling admissions tickets, offering guests to view the 8 minute video, and introducing them to our 5,000 year old history is the main objective. Volunteers are trained how to operate a computerized cash register at the Front Desk and in the Museum Shop. We offer two 4-hour shifts Monday through Friday of which you can choose one or more to volunteer.

As one of the first contacts with the public, the Entrance Cottage Attendant & the Visitor Center volunteer welcomes the guest with a smile asking how they can be of help.

Mission Statement

Historic Spanish Point is a 30 acre environmental, archaeological and historic site owned and operated by Gulf Coast Heritage Association, Inc. Our mission is to connect people of today with 5,000 years of human history in southwest coastal Florida by preserving and interpreting objects and traditions significant to our region's past. As a National Register historic site and accredited museum, Historic Spanish Point features nature trails, historic buildings, beautiful gardens and scenic views of Little Sarasota Bay. The museum is open daily.
