Do you love caring for kittens or mature cats, and have the space & ability to do so safely? For more than a decade, Save the Cats Arizona has been rescuing cats and kittens in need of a safe, loving environment. We often need dedicated foster parents to give some of our rescued kittens & cats a temporary (to possibly permanent) home while waiting to be adopted.

Duration of fostering typically varies from two weeks to a few months. Certain potentially-adoptable grown cats from our NO KILL SANCTUARY, as well as rescued newborn kittens, need to be acclimated in a home environment for before going up for adoption. Some of our most in-need cats have medical issues requiring a little extra love & attention.

Volunteers for in-home fostering must be at least 21 years old, experienced at caring for cats, and be able to provide a cat-safe home. Some of our cats will be better in homes without other animals, but that can vary. SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED, ESPECIALLY FOR MEDICAL NEEDS, by Save the Cats Arizona. We also assist in coordinating and scheduling medical visits and other needs for the cats. You will be guided and supported by us the entire fostering.

We prefer, but do not require, fosters in the Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler areas. If a foster cat is unable to be adopted after a reasonable time, they will be returned to the Save the Cats Arizona sanctuary.

If interested, please fill out our online volunteer application at www.savethecatsaz.org or contact our Adoption & Foster Coordinator at katrina@savethecatsaz.org

Must be 21+ years to foster
