If you love cats, like to drive, and have free time to spare but don't want to commit to a weekly volunteer job, then this is the opportunity for you! Save the Cats Arizona needs volunteers to help with preparing and transporting cats to veterinary appointments or other locations. Depending on the specific need, responsibilities may include: helping to get the cat into an isolation area the night before surgery, helping to get the cat into a carrier the morning of the vet appointment, driving the cat to the vet, seeing the cat through the exam, and driving the cat back to the Sanctuary or temporary foster home for recovery. Some of our cats are not socialized which makes getting them into the ISO area or carrier a physical challenge... but rewarding! Must be 21 or older, have your own transportation, valid car insurance and valid drivers license.

If interested, please fill out our online application at http://www.savethecatsaz.org/volunteer_application.html

New volunteer orientations are held the second Saturday of every month. Check our website calendar for more information. If you'd like to attend an upcoming orientation, please send an email to kathy@savethecatsaz.org
